Fresh Yams: Large Box – 20kg

Yams are a versatile, delicious, and nutritious root vegetable. They are a West African staple rich flavour and health benefits. Yams have a slightly sweet and nutty taste, perfect for savory dishes. They are a nutritional powerhouse with a great source of dietary fibre, vitamins, and minerals, including potassium, vitamin C, and manganese. Yams come in a variety of species, however they generally have light-brown skin and a creamy white flesh. They are ideal for pounding into fufu (swallow) or for roasting or boiling and enjoying with your favourite stew or eggs.

Storage Conditions
Yams need to be stored in cool a dark space and will generally remain fresh for 2-3 months. They can also be frozen to preserve them.

Seasonality
Yams are seasonal produce. Ziya Fresh plans to make them available annually for your enjoyment during the months of April, May and June.
